ABOUT UFO
We began our first commercial endeavor thirty years ago in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1998, we started producing specially wound IR heating elements, which were designed and developed in-house, and introduced these electric heaters to the public under the UFO brand.
Thanks to the economic, efficient and environmentally-friendly operation of our heaters, we received a big demand from the Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian markets. In a very short time, UFO became the market leader in these countries. Apart from the consumer products, UFO transferred this technology to another company in the group (i.e EMKO) for industrial applications. Today we provide heating solutions the industries of plastic, automotive, glass, wood-working, food, textile and more.
Due to the continuous increase in energy prices and the ecological hazards to the environment caused by fossil fuels, new heating alternatives are gaining more importance. Heating with electricity, the only energy type which doesnt have any waste, does not pollute the environment. Now available to customers, infrared heating is an energy both efficient and obtainable by renewable sources.
A UFO heater begins heating as quickly as 27 seconds, it converts 94% of the energy it uses into heat by infrared luminescence. A UFO heater is efficient; it prevents waste of energy by directly heating people or objects without heating the air in the environment. Compared with traditional heating systems, a UFO heater is up to 80 % more efficient. The increasing energy demand of our world forecasts that the heating systems of the future will be electricity weighted.

GS
Geprüfte Sicherheit - (Approved Safety)
This mark gives evidence that the essential safety requirements of the product have been fulfilled and the production has been inspected by the impartial organization TÜV Rheinland Product Safety. The TYPE APPROVED mark shows both the manufacturer and the consumer that the product meets the required safety standards Although GS stands for Geprüfte Sicherheit (approved safety), you may think of it simply as German Safety.
The GS sticker indicates that the product was tested and certified for safety according to the "German Equipment Safety Law" by a trustworthy, independent institute. The GS mark is a type-approval mark, followed by periodic factory inspections covering the quality system for the product's production. This law requires us, as the certification body, to frequently check (usually annually or every 2 years, depending upon the certificate) whether the manufacturer is able to maintain all the specifications of the tested product in his mass production.
During this factory inspection, we evaluate the implementation of the quality system as relevant for the production, the production environment, and production related testing and measurement equipment.
This mark signals to the buyer, customer, or consumer that the chosen product as well as the user manual and production (process) have been tested by an authorized institution such as TÜV Rheinland Product Safety, with priority being given to aspects of safety. In the meantime, the German GS-mark has been recognized as one of the crucial marks within product safety.
